Science is all about where we came from, where we are and where we are going.
In 1936, Albert Einstein said " The eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility". Yeah! the one that makes you exclaim at every discovery " How obvious! How stupid of me not to have worked that out for myself".
Ernest Rutherford once said " Science is divided into two categories - physics and stamp collecting". Such was his disdain for other sciences that he was eventually awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry ( 1908, for his work on radioactivity and what-not)
The fate of specialists in any one area of science is to focus more and more narrowly on their topic, learning more and more about less and less, until they end up knowing everything about nothing.
What I have learnt from the past 16 years about Science :-
Gravity, as it happens, is a very weak force, unless you have a lot of matter around.
This is a brightfully good place to be in, well, atleast on weekends.
